Yesterday was my actual birthday.

Morning accompanied my sister to rebond her hair.

Then I shopped around for awhile to buy presents.

And managed to buy name card holder to put my instant photographs.

Evening met Dear at Woodlands MRT platform to go AMK Hub together.

Had fish & co for dinner!

Took photos using my new polaroid!

Walked around.

Bought stuff.

Practically went on a shopping spree for the whole day.

Saturday celebrated my birthday at West Coast.

Went to IT fair yesterday.

It was just so crowded!!!

But I managed to buy a laptop pouch for only $9!

And dear bought those additional USB port for his dad.

Went to cut hair at EC house in Civic Centre with Dear.

Cut our hair together.

Wanted to cut it even shorter,

but the person say I would look like primary school kid due to my 'baby face'.

So okay lo.

Let the hairdresser cut whatever she like.

Turns out fine.

Make my hair look even straighter.

Still wondering if I should go for alumni practice next Sunday.

A bit lazy.

Plus it feels like not much people turning up.

Vaccination + Busy day!

Just came back from clinic not long ago.

Vaccination.

Again.

Last week took blood test.

Today collected the blood test result.

Then don't have Hep B antibodies.

Although I had 3 booster when birth and another booster during last year March.

The doctor said only 5% of people will have such cases.

And most of the 5% are elderly.

>.<

Cause usually one booster in later years will work if I had taken my 3 booster during birth.

But obviously it didn't (because I'm not immune to Hep B).

He told me maybe the 3 booster at birth didn't work on me.

So he gave me Hep A + B vaccination.

He said it's stronger.

So need to take another booster end of March.

Then blood test (if I want) around end of April.

And if still don't have,

I have to take another booster end of August.

Sigh.

Morning collected passport.

1.5 hours of waiting.

I used that time to briefly read through the IT textbook chapter 1,

as well as flipping through chapter 2.

That book is so boring.

If I were to study it at home,

it WILL put me to sleep.

Literally.

Went to POSB bank to ask some stuff.

SO MANY PEOPLE!!!!

Went home,

rest for a while,

tried to do the portfolio at a glance (but in the end nothing constructive).

Then went to Vista Point to photocopy some documents.

The PRC salesperson or whomever there so impolite!

Went home,

rest a while,

then fetched En.

Took her to walk around in the park.

Came back home,

ate dinner,

then received a call from the clinic to tell me that my report is ready.

So yup.

In conclusion,

I didn't do much constructive work (in terms of assignments) today.

Yesterday dear surprised me by coming to my house.

Got chicken pox.

From don't know where or who.

Went to see doctor last night.

She gave me 14 days m.c.

And the medicine and everything cost me $105.

HAHA.

Real expensive.

The doctor said that adults medicine for chicken pox are more ex.

Well.

Not that bad after all I guess.

Can stay inside my air conditioned room

(because I'm supposed to keep cool so I won't scratch my blister, hence leaving a scar),

can do assignment and play games without stress.

And I don't have to take care of any kids.

For the moment.

It can be itchy sometimes.

But luckily still manageable.

I "vomited" countless of blood trying to manage the children.

My colleague said I am mature and is relatively okay with managing children.

Actually,

she has no idea how 'mature' I am.

Tried teaching some children patterning while they were waiting for their turn to bathe.

Some got the concept,

some not yet.

There was a child who did ABB patterning.

Although I taught them AB patterning.

And one of the kids told me that his tortoise eat bee hoon.

Then dinner had popeye chicken.

Friday public holiday.

So went out with dear and his friends to orchard.

Watched 'Ninja Assassin'.

(They all wanted to watch it. I definitely don't watch this type of shows. Especially if it's M18.)

Don't asked me how it was.

Cause the moment I saw the head got cut into half and it bled profusely for the first 5 - 10 minutes,

I gave up watching the whole show and played game on my mobile phone and my dear's itouch.

See no blood, hear no fights.

Waste of money?

For me,

definitely yes.

Spent the 99 minutes playing game.

But I think the guys enjoyed watching the show.

Took care of kids, bath them, wash their butts, did observation, administrative stuff, etc, etc.

But overall still enjoyable.

So currently available during weekend.

Today first day of work.

Helped out in managing about 13(?) toddlers/children in playgroup (not much difference eh?) with another 2 teachers.

You can see all sorts of patterns of behaviors in each individual child.

Trust me.

Not all child are cute and cuddly.

But in general they are rather cute in their own ways.

Haha.

Was busy from 9am all the way to 5pm.

Cause you just can't relax.

Your eyes have to be literally opened and must really be alert.

Children's movement are fast.

That I really can assure you.

Children nap time help to cut out some stuff.

So not much break.

But overall still quite okay.

Reach home very exhausted.

But I guess because it's just the first day.

Therefore not quite used to it.

Earthquake!

I experienced my first earthquake ever!!!!!!!!

I was laying on my stomach reading on the mattress (which was on the floor).

The mattress wasn't very thick.

Then I felt vibration,

not exactly vibration,

but a slight shaking of the mattress.

I thought I read too much book and felt giddy.

Then I pause for awhile before looking out of the window.

And I saw like the whole building was shaking very slightly!

I freaked out and told my sis who was also on the mattress.

She didn't realized it immediately but only after a few seconds.

And I freaked out again and told my mum and dad that there was earthquake!

And my mum thought we were kidding and said it was impossible!

As though I like to joke about such stuff!

So my mum switched on the television and waited for the 6.30pm news.

And there were tsunami/earthquake in four different countries!

At the same time or not I'm not sure though.

SO EXCITING!

(Shucks. It sounds like I'm a saddist but I'm not really one. I meant that experiencing the earthquake was new and exciting.)

And.

I seriously grew fatter again.

Around my waist I mean.

I really, truly do need some exercise.

I showed her sign language from A to E twice yesterday.

And when she saw me this morning,

Now then I know children's presents are so difficult to buy!

Heard from Yanyan that Sherlock Holmes movie coming out.

So went to watch trailer on youtube.

But found it different from the book.

The moment I saw the lead actor (acting as Sherlock Holmes),

I was like,

"..."

He doesn't give me the impression that he is Sherlock Holmes.

And neither does Watson.

Cause to me Watson is like quite calm.

But they like very weird la.

A very weird combination.

I don't know.

Perhaps I read the book before so there's already an impression there.

And I saw a lot of actions in the trailer.

Supposedly Sherlock rarely fights.

So ya.

Hope it's like the book.

Keep audience in suspense and yet provide clues as the movie goes along.

And Irene Adler is not bitchy.

She has wits, is smart.

Had dinner at New York New York.

Went to Tampines today with my sister.

Bought 2 books and 3 notebooks at Times, Tampines One with the $50 Times voucher my other sister got in some award stuff.

Spent nearly an hour in the Times Bookstore just to choose what we wanted.

Had lunch at Long John Silver,

then as we walked to GV at Tampines Mall,

my sister happened to saw a beautiful necklace (at Century Square) so we went in and shopped.

Haha.

Bought the necklace my sister saw, earrings and a star bracelet/anklet.

The red bracelet (shown in the above 2nd picture) is a free gift from Aries.

Went to Tampines Mall to watch Transformer 2.

Although the show quite long ago but it's still up.

So given my sister the choice of either watching Ice Age 3 or Transformer 2,

she chose the latter.

And the show quite nice.

Even my sister, who have not seen the previous Transformer movie, said it was quite cool.

Hehe.

Won't be free on Thursday because have to look after little tofu.

Haha.

Then meeting Dear on Friday evening.

Yesterday I read the chinese newspaper and saw a complain to the play 'Own time own target'.

The complain is from a mother who brought her 16 and 14 year old children to the play,

thinking that it is suitable for family,

and stating that the play is using vulgarities which makes her uncomfortable and giving her children bad influences.

If I am not wrong,

the sistic website has already stated that the show is not suitable for children below 16 years old.

But,

I have to add that the brochure did not mention that the age limit.

As for the 'family' part,

the brochure and the sistic website stated nothing about being 'family-friendly'.

It just stated that it is funny and everything.

But nothing about family.

Next,

I agree with the mother that the play is really too vulgar.

But instead of complaining,

she could have used it as a 'teachable' moment,

whereby she could have sat down with her children and talked about the play.

And it is also more constructive this way.

Examples:

1) How do you think of the play?

2) I have been giving you the idea that you should be polite and be a gentleman/lady, and in the play you saw people scolding vulgarities. Why do you think they do it?

3) Can you think of other ways to express your feelings other than scolding vulgarities as it is unpleasant to the ears and extremely rude?

If the parents did not scold any vulgarities,

means that they have been modeling the appropriate behaviour.

So what's there to worry about?

All she has to do now is to monitor the child's behaviour and correct them right?

Today went to her wake.

Atmosphere was very serious.

It was so quiet that we naturally whispered to one another.

I seriously didn't know what to say...

Afternoon went to watch 'Own Time Own Target'.

NS comedy at National Library, Drama Centre.

And I forgot the tickets.

So we had to take taxi back to my house to get the tickets,

then take taxi to Bugis Junction.

(Because we were at City Hall when he asked me whether I brought the tickets and I realized that I didn't.)

The trip to and fro costs me $33.60.

And of course I paid the fare.

Cause it was my fault that I forgot the tickets.

And my dear did something real sweet today.

We had our lunch at Mos Burger.

And he knew I liked Ichigo Bliss.

The moment he held my hand,

And I seriously felt like crying.

The student card look a little like staff card.

My degree title quite long.

Yesterday went to turtle and tortoise museum located at chinese garden.

At first wanted to go Jurong Reptile Park.

But I think it closed down already.

Couldn't find it.

Today last session of writing clinic.

Went for lunch with Geraldine at Beauty World.

And we shopped at the stationery shop like nobody's business.

Haha.

Bought a pen, cute notebook and ez-link sticker.

Hehe.

Maybe I should open a stationery shop....

Thinking of getting a job which I only have to work on every Friday.

Since I don't have school on that day.

But I'm kinda worried if there are make up classes or group discussions or something on Friday.

Asking me to work on Saturday is practically impossible.

Cause it's only the weekend that my boyfriend can book out.

Hmm.

New hi-5 members' voice qualities are not that good.

Some of them still quite alright.

Eh.

Lessons so far still okay.

It's weird that Singapore's national language is Melayu/Malay.

But,

we don't speak them.

Especially the younger generations.

Our first language and working language is supposedly to be English.

But it turned out to be 'Singlish'.

So shouldn't 'Singlish' be our national language?

Since (correct me if I'm wrong):

Country and national language

Spain and Spanish

France and French

England and English

Malaysia and Malay

China and Chinese

Ok.

I'm just being silly.

But at least we should learn Melayu/Malay?

Doesn't make sense if our national language is Melayu/Malay but none other races but Malays know how to speak Melayu/Malay.

I finally got rid of my crappy phone.

One is about don't know what.

The other is about Geography.

I should learn to get a thicker skin.

My current one is still too thin,

too easy embarassed.

But at least I know he loves me unconditionally.

So it's a comfort knowing whatever dumb things I've done,
